You may or may not know this, but the afternoon host on Sports Radio KJR is quite the Star Wars fan....ok, that's an understatement; Softy would probably get married all over again if his lovely wife would allow him to dress as a Storm Trooper. We saw this clip with Patton Oswalt in last week's episode of Parks & Rec, and feel it's only fair to share with anyone who may have missed it. Enjoy it, in all it's crazed Star Wars fan glory. Heck, if some of his ideas made it into the new movie, we might even watch it! ;-)
Seems like every weekend we get trapped in some more massive road closures around Seattle. So, once again, here is the breakdown for the weekend starting today, April 19th.
CLOSURES For Friday April 19th - Monday April 22nd
7pm Saturday - 12pm Sunday. Up to three lanes of NB I5 will close over night between Albro and Spokane in Seattle (one lane closes at 7pm, another at 8pm, a third at 10pm). Work IS weather dependent, though.
11pm Friday - 5am Monday. Either direction of 520 will close between Montlake and 405 all weekend long. NB I5 off-ramp to WB 520 will be closed as well.
11pm Friday - 7:30am Saturday. EB I90 traffic through the Mount Baker Tunnel will be reduced to ONE lane over night tonight.
We also have some pretty big events this weekend. Here is where/when they're happening. Expect heavier than normal traffic in these areas during the times listed.
AMA Supercross: Century Link Field, 12:30pm.
Washington Stealth Game: Comcast Arena, 6:45pm.
Chris Tomlin Concert: Key Arena, 7pm.
PNB: McCaw Hall, 1pm and 7pm
Krazy2 Concert: Comcast Arena, 5:30pm
GOOD LUCK this weekend and please, BE SAFE!
Well friends, it's true, I-5 Minus 3 goes into effect AGAIN this weekend! Commuters who attempted to navigate the construction zone last weekend were met with long lines of brake lights, resulting in length delays. At the height of the work only ONE lane will be open between Albro and the West Seattle Bridge. Again, the DOT is asking you- if you don't have to drive in the mess, please don't! Use an alternate road, help a brother out!
Here is the info again, in case you need a refresher:
