1st annual "Tunnel To Towers Tacoma Run"! This run commemorates the final heroic footsteps of FDNY Firefighter Stephen Siller on 9/11/2001. Stephen ran approx 3 miles in his bunker gear through the battery tunnel to ground zero after getting off shift that morning. Tunnel To Towers Foundation has partnered with Gary Senise Foundation in a project called "Building For America's Bravest" building smart homes for amputee combat veterans returning from oversees. The Tacoma Run will share proceeds with WSCFF Burn Foundation to fund burn research, education, and special programs for victims in WA State.
