Career networking site LinkedIn is now banning users that are in the "escort" or "prostitution" line of work. That's even if prostitution is legal where the LinkedIn member lives. Though the company isn't giving a reason for the ban, "unlawful" profiles are prohibited on the site. LinkedIn, which has more than 220-million users, is the world's largest professional networking site.
A Massachusetts woman is facing assault charges after supposedly getting a little too worked up about pickles. MBTA Transit Police say Tina Drouin attacked a sub-maker at a Nathan's Famous Hot Dog store in Boston because she was putting "too many pickles" on her steak and cheese sandwich. Drouin started yelling about the excessive toppings and demanded a refund. But when she was denied, she allegedly punched the employee in the face, smashed two large jars of pickles on the floor, and ran out of the store.
Illinois newlyweds could wind up in divorce court after their Orlando honeymoon took a turn for the worse. Over the weekend, 21-year-old Mohammed Ahmed was one of 92 people caught in a major prostitution bust. The sheriff in Polk County says that Ahmed responded to an online ad posted by an undercover detective and was arrested with one count of soliciting prostitution and marijuana possession. He was later reported missing by his wife when he failed to return to their hotel.
Police said they are seeking a woman accused of assaulting a teenager while dressed as Marvel's The Hulk superhero. Police released CCTV footage of the woman dressed as the anger-powered green superhero in an attempt to identify the suspect. Investigators said the woman allegedly punched a 17-year-old girl in the face just after 3 a.m. April 26 outside a McDonald's. "This appears to have been a wholly unprovoked assault. Thankfully the injuries were not too severe," police constable Cheryl Hunter said. "However, the outcome could have been far more serious."
